Characteristics

The water absorption rate of NYLON66 is lower than that of NYLON6, so it needs to be fully dried before use.

Excellent gas barrier properties and chemical resistance.

Suitable for products requiring strength, precision, thermal deformation, and flame retardancy.

It has high water absorption and needs to be fully dried before use.

GPPC GRAMiD® Polyamide 66

The GPPC GRAMiD® Polyamide 66, generally known as Nylon 66, is a kind of highly-crystalline straight-chain polycondensation polymer, where the repeating units are held together by amide group (-CONH-). Its features include high tensile strength, abrasion resistance, impact resistance, and unaffected by oils, solvents and chemicals, as well as low coefficient of friction and self-lubricating properties.

Nylon 6.6 can be produced to products via direct injection. In addition, its mechanical properties can be improved by compounding with other materials. Therefore, the dimensional stability, impact, flame retardant, low temperature resistance, abrasion resistance, etc. could be advanced to adapt to the requirements from industries like electronics, electrical, communications, and others, so as to expand its field of application.

From the perspective of final use, the automotive industry accounted for the consumption of Nylon 66 at the first place, and the electronics accounted for the second. For others field of application, can be used in electronic, instrumentation, machinery, automotive components, home appliances, oil pipe, precision engineering products, textile…etc., also can be used for sporting goods, daily necessities, the production of medical equipment…etc.
